This incredible Country Boy, built by Bourgeois in 1996, is the signature model of Bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs.
With a Mahogany back and sides, and a Spruce top with a truly stunning warm patina to it, this is one versatile dreadnought. The key characteristics of this guitars dynamic voice are those of warmth and clarity, with remarkable note separation and a real sense of 'dry' vintage tone this guitar captures a deeply classic feeling paired with all of Danas signature innovations.
The Mahogany neck is topped with an Ebony fretboard sporting simple but elegant mini pearl dot inlays to add to the 'workhorse' aesthetic of the instrument. The neck feels great under the fretting hand, with a comfortable profile and smooth, fast feel to the action.
The K&K Mini pickup installed on the guitar does a very articulate job of recreating the stunning tone of this fine dreadnought when plugged in, and makes this a magnificent choice for live use as well as for recording purposes and home playing.
The guitar is in excellent condition and comes in its original Hardcase.
