This year we have seen some absolutely beautiful instruments come into the showroom in all shapes and sizes, especially on the pre owned / consignment market, and this 2010 GC model from South African master luthier Marc Maingard has to be one of the finest! It is an absolutely superb instrument with a sweet sweet voice that rings like a church bell and has a beautifully balance and yet power mid and low end.
The God father of luthier built instruments in South Africa Marc has trained some incredible builders include the now world renowned Casimi team Matthias and Matthew. Marc builds guitars that truly will take your breath away aesthetically and sonically, making every piece of wood he uses sing to its absolute full potential.
Rare we are speechless here at The North American Guitar but this GC model has certainly stop us in our tracks. Very versatile in its capabilities, pretty much taking any thing you can throw at her. But with out a doubt excels in drop tunings such as DADGAD and fingerstyle.
In absolutely museum like condition.
