This gorgeous little Pre-Owned Santa Cruz 1929 OO model in all Mahogany construction is an absolutely fantastic example of what Richard Hoover and his team are capable of doing with such a simple, classic design.
The guitar takes its cues from the small bodied American instruments built in the Great Depression, and nails the clean lines and iconic stripped back feeling of those spritely, versatile singer/songwriter machines.
The first thing you notice when picking up this elegant OO is how light the thing is. Coming in at 3.3lb it really is a featherweight vintage tone haven.
That being said, the guitar has tons of volume and output, and takes a flatpick beautifully as well as of course being a real delight for dynamic finger style playing.
The neck has a lovely 'V' profile and plays wonderfully, with superb fretwork and clear, articulate tones across the board.
Amidst the heaps of mahogany in this instruments construction, the Ebony features such as the fretboard, tuning pegs, headstock veneer and bridge really pop, adding to the gorgeous and subtle aesthetics.
The guitar comes to us in excellent condition and with a fitted Santa Cruz branded Hardcase.
